Storefront Games is hosting our first Sealed Tournament!

⚔️ Sorcery: Draft Tournament ⚔️ October 11th, 2025 ⚔️

Overview:

The Draft format is a true test of skill. Build decks on the spot from a rotating selection of booster packs. Pick a card and pass it on. Harness the chaos, explore emergent strategies within the cards your opponents pass you, and draft a unique and exciting deck.

👥 Players

Open to any number of participants! Minimum 4 Participants required.

💲Fees

·        $15.00 Entry Fee

·        $5.00/booster pack (3 required for Draft; after the event - additional may be available for purchase at $6.50/pk)

📦 Supplies Provided

Each player will receive:

·        🎴 3 Booster Packs (2x Beta, 1x Arthurian)

⏱️ Time Limits

·         Deck Construction & Draft: 30 Minutes

·         Rounds: 45 minutes per match.

🛠️ Deckbuilding Rules

Players build draft decks according to the following rules:

·         1 Avatar. Spellslinger, or any Avatar you open in your boosters.

·         Your Spellbook will contain at least 24 cards - your arsenal of minions, magics, auras, and artifacts.

·         Your Atlas will contain at least 12 cards - your Sites with which you'll construct the realm around you.

·         Please return all Spell Slinger and Draft Kit basic sites lent to you by the store at the end of the event.

Players build Sealed decks according to the following rules:

·         First, players sit around tables in 4 person pods. Each player then opens one of their booster packs and secretly (and simultaneously) keeps a single card from it.

·         Then players pass the remainder of their packs to the player on their left. Continue picking a card from the pack and passing it until no cards remain.

·         Once all the cards from the first packs have been selected, the players then open their second pack and repeat the drafting process, but this time passing cards to the right.

·         Finally, open the last pack, repeating the process and passing cards to the left once again. Once all cards have been drafted, players then build their decks.

 ·         Players will have 30 minutes total to finish drafting and then building their decks.

🎲 Tournament Structure

Tournament will be tracked via the Play Network using a Swiss-style Best-of-One Draft format. Matches are played on the standard 5x4 grid, starting with 20 life.Players place sites within the grid, summon creatures to them, and battle until one player is reduced to Death’ Door (0 life) and in a subsequent round defeated.

⚡ Overtime / Sudden Death

If a match exceeds the 45-minute limit:

Finish the current round. Afterwards, each player receives up to a total of 3 additional turns. The winner is determined as follows:

·         Player is dealt the killing blow during Sudden Death.

·         Highest life total wins

·         If tied, the player with the most units on the battlefield wins.
