Welcome to the Explorer Series event #7!!
This is a preconstructed deck event. You will not need to bring a deck or a playmat. Both will be provided.
Check in will be at 11AM EST. Start time will be at noon.
Entry fee will be $35 payable to Kiel in cash or Venmo ahead of time or day of event.
This event is capped at 32 players due to space. There will be 5 or less rounds with a cut to final 4!
Prizing: Pack per win in rounds 1 thru 5. The 1st place player will win an amazing Severine Pineaux playmat of the four avatars! The top four players will get their choice of Sealed Alpha precon deck in order of 1st through 4th. The top 8 players who did not make the final cut will get there choice of sealed precon deck from Gothic or Beta in order of 5th through 12th. Doorprizes TBD.
Format: Before the start of round 1, each player will randomly be assigned a draft number. There will be an assortment of available preconstructed decks to draft from to play with during the r0und. The available decks will be based on the number of entrants as such: Beta, Gothic, Alpha, Beta2, Gothic2, Alpha2, Beta3, Gothic3, Alpha3, Beta4, Gothic4, Alpha4.... the selected precon from each set will be randomly chosen if the number of entrants is not a perfect dozen. (example: 15 players will have one of each precon ever made PLUS one random Beta, one random Gothic, and one random Alpha).
The player with draft number 1 will choose from the available decks on the table to play with in round 1. Then number 2, then 3 and so on... Once everyone as selected a deck pairings will be created and published. Try to win and have fun!
At the end of each match you will return your deck to the table for round 2 selection. You may not play any deck twice during the Swiss rounds! Before Round 2 Starts we will redraft decks starting with the last place player ascending to the first place player. The same process will repeat for remaining rounds.
At the end of Swiss, All decks will be returned to the table, door prizes will be given and 5th thru 12th will select there precon deck prizes from Gothic and Beta. Then the top 4 will select any three decks that they have not played in the Swiss rounds. The selections will be made without the knowledge of others selections.
These decks will determine the placement of top 4 and may only be played once per finalist through the Top Cut rounds. Have fun and contest the REALM!
